Fabulous Framers
Linda McDonald, a 3rd generation Californian, who’s grandparents settled in Blackpoint in 1910, used to ride her horses through what is now the Pacheco Plaza Shopping Center. She graduated from Novato High School and attended College of Marin. Her background in framing started early in her teens, working as a technician in custom photo labs. Later she worked as a mechanical artist in a graphic design studio and as a photo retouch/airbrush artist in Washington DC and San Francisco.
Picture framing became her passion in the late 70’s and she furthered her education at the Larson Juhl School of Custom Picture framing. Her scope and knowledge of picture framing has continued to expand and grow earning her the distinction of Master Framer. She has now expanded her skills to include pastel portraits and the restoration of picture frames and paintings.
Even after 30 years of picture framing every day, she finds it brings opportunities for creative and exciting new ways to do what she loves……
